With Relaisblick we present a new interactive web application that shows all amateur radio relays in Austria on a clear map. The tool was developed by OE8YML and is available as an open source project on GitHub.
What is Relaisblick?
Relaisblick is an interactive web application that visualizes all Austrian amateur radio relays on a map. No matter whether you are looking for a relay near you or are planning a trip through Austria – with Relaisblick you can quickly find all relevant information about frequencies, locations and technical details.

Data sources
The FM relay data comes from the ÖVSV FM department (repeater.oevsv.at). The data for DMR, D-STAR and C4FM come from OE8VIK (Michi) via dmraustria.at, dstaraustria.at and c4fmaustria.at.

The data is automatically updated every Sunday at 3:00 a.m. via GitHub Actions, so you always get the latest information. All information provided without guarantee – if there are errors or requests for changes, please contact the respective data source directly.
Technology
Relaisblick was developed using modern web technologies:
- Frontend: React 18 with TypeScript, Vite, Leaflet for map display, Tailwind CSS
- Data processing: Python 3.12 with BeautifulSoup4 for web scraping
- Infrastructure: Docker with multi-stage builds, Nginx, GitHub Actions for CI/CD
