Emergency Radio Exercise Klagenfurt: Four Lighthouses, Four Dates in March

The Magistrate of Klagenfurt is running an emergency exercise: on four dates in March, emergency operations will be practised at four different “lighthouses”. Radio amateurs are explicitly invited to participate.

The dates

What is being practised?

The city of Klagenfurt operates so-called “lighthouses” – predefined contact points that serve as communication and coordination hubs in the event of a disaster. This exercise simulates operations at four of these locations. The city has its own emergency radio equipment – no personal gear is required.

Who is this for?

For all radio amateurs in the Klagenfurt area who are interested in emergency communications or simply want to see how such an exercise works in practice. No prior experience in emergency radio is needed – interest is enough.
